News :: Greener grass on the Coast

GroundAbility director Warwick Beale said the once daggy image of artificial grass was now on the way out thanks to artificial turf that looked and felt like real grass.
Mr Beale said the trend had become increasingly popular for homeowners and businesses in South-East Queensland for a number of years.
"Apart from looking incredibly real, synthetic grass does not have to be watered, mown or weeded, perfect for the time-strapped or for those who would rather be out golfing or boating," he said.
The ProGrass distributor said that ProGrass had been in the business for 25 years and had designed and manufactured a landscape grass that was perfect to suit Australian conditions.
"Especially in times of water restrictions," he said.
"It is ultraviolet protected and will stay as green as the day it was bought.
"The grass has a natural variegated pile, drainage perforations and can be contoured to suit any design."
Mr Beale said creating a new look was easy because the synthetic grass could either replace existing turf or be laid over pavers or concrete.
"It's perfect at home around pools and on balconies and decks," he said.
"The grass can be shaped to the existing landscaping or we can offer advice with new and practical garden design.
"There are grasses to suit any budget and application."
ProGrass has a series of the best-quality grasses worldwide, including for putting greens and tee grass, tennis, cricket, bowls and multi-purpose sports."
